It's Monday! What are you reading? (#2)

It's Monday! What Are You Reading is a weekly meme hosted by Book Journey where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week...and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as never know where that next "must read" book will come from!

I recently finished The Mind Readers, Through the Woods, and Anyas Ghost!

Cameron Winters is a freak. Fortunately, no one but her family knows the truth …that Cameron can read minds. For years Cameron has hidden behind a facade of normalcy, warned that there are those who would do her harm. When gorgeous and mysterious Lewis Douglas arrives he destroys everything Cameron has ever believed and tempts her with possibilities of freedom. Determined to embrace her hidden talents, Cameron heads to a secret haven with Lewis; a place where she meets others like her, Mind Readers.

But as Cameron soon finds out some things are too good to be true. When the Mind Readers realize the extent of Cameron’s abilities, they want to use her powers for their own needs. Cameron suddenly finds herself involved in a war in which her idea of what is right and wrong is greatly tested. In the end she’ll be forced to make a choice that will not only threaten her relationship with Lewis, but her very life.

It came from the woods. Most strange things do.'

Five mysterious, spine-tingling stories follow journeys into (and out of?) the eerie abyss.

These chilling tales spring from the macabre imagination of acclaimed and award-winning comic creator Emily Carroll.

Come take a walk in the woods and see what awaits you there...

Anya could really use a friend. But her new BFF isn't kidding about the "Forever" part.
Of all the things Anya expected to find at the bottom of an old well, a new friend was not one of them. Especially not a new friend who’s been dead for a century.
Falling down a well is bad enough, but Anya's normal life might actually be worse. She's embarrassed by her family, self-conscious about her body, and she's pretty much given up on fitting in at school. A new friend—even a ghost—is just what she needs.
Or so she thinks. Spooky, sardonic, and secretly sincere, Anya's Ghost is a wonderfully entertaining debut from author/artist Vera Brosgol.

I am currently reading:

Thanks for reading! Leave your Monday posts below and I will check them out! -Piper

  1. I want to read Anya's Ghost....the cover is so cute!! I came across this book some time back after which I completely forgot about it. Thanks to your post, I will sure mark it in my TBR list now.
My reading moods vary a lot and I get stuck with a particular genre and types of books for weeks or months. Some time back it was all YA, then all Romance, later all Fantasy and currently its all classics. I have always loved classics but I hadn't picked up one in a long time. And right now this is all I am reading. I just finished Tess of the D'Urbervilles and at present reading My Man Jeeves by P.G. Wodehouse. Later I plan to pick up something from George Eliot :)
